Last year, Nike and Air Jordan created a series of sneakers entitled “Doernbecher Freestyle Pack” to benefit the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital. One of the models included in the package, was the Air Jordan Retro 2 Doernbecher which was designed by Sheridan Brenton. This was one of the first occasions in which the Air Jordan brand gave someone not from their design team to come up with the look of the Doernbecher Air Jordan Retro II.
Chosen for the sneaker, was a peacock-like design which consisted of different shades of Green, Black snake skin, and Yellow accents on the outside and sole of the shoe. Seeing new versions of the Air Jordan II has been a pretty rare sight and for the release of the Doernbecher Charity II’s, quantity released was very limited. It’s release on November 9th, 2007 caused quite astir on the Internet and in-stores. The shoes sold out instant on Nike.com and were camped-out by many Air Jordan fans.

Almost 10 years after the success of the first Air Jordan to release, Nike felt it was time to Retro some of the oldies but goodies. One pair from the Nike Air Jordan archives is the Air Jordan Retro 1994 II (2) White - Red - Black.
When the Air Jordan Retro 1994 2 (II) White - Red - Black released, they pretty much collected dust, due to the $100 price tag, and Michael Jordan did not currently wear them in the NBA (nor was he playing). Sadly, the Air Jordan Retro 1994 2 (II) White - Red - Black went to discount racks and sold for $19.99 a piece.

Similar to the mids, the Air Jordan 2 (II) 1994 Retro Low White - Red - Black was not as successful when they first released. Although a great idea to Retro popular sneakers by the Nike Air Jordan line, but just did not hold the strength it does today.
The Air Jordan 2 (II) 1994 Retro Low White - Red - Black retailed around $64.99, but continued to fill up space at retailers. Soon you could purchase the Air Jordan 2 (II) 1994 Retro Low White - Red - Black for cheaper than $20.

The second Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro in White / Varsity Red / Black, but does not contain all the same features the first released has. For example, the Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro White / Varsity Red / Black contains Black pipping.
Also on the Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro White / Varsity Red / Black contains Red outline on the Black pipping. Released March 27th 2004 for $110. Now the Air Jordan Retro 2 (II) White / Varsity Red / Black can go over $200.

When Bruce Kilgore first introduced the Air Jordan 2 (II), I am sure he had no idea how much of a strong following they would have today. Fast forward to 2004, and Jordan Brand would release the Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro Low White / Black - Varsity Red.
When released, a lot of the Air Jordan 2 (II) Retro Low White / Black - Varsity Red would just sit on shelfs, and hit different outlets throughout the States. But, the official release date was October 9th 2004, with a retail price of $100.

Released in 2004, the Black and Chrome Air Jordan II (2) Retro features a simple design, but possess a unique quality that isn’t seen often on the Air Jordan II. The Black and Chrome color-way is definitely one of a kind and is a rare combination, but is a perfect match for the stylish Air Jordan II. Black is the main color used for the upper part of the shoe, however Chrome accents the sleek curves and high cut design.
The Air Jordan II (2) Retro Black and Chrome was released on April 24th, 2004. When it was first sold, it had a price tag of $110. But, with its rarity in the marketplace, its price continues to hit the high $100 range and is definitely a true collectors item.

The Air Jordan 2 high tops and low tops were very stylish, making them as popular as the AJ I (according to sales). All Original Air Jordan IIs were made in Italy.
Rumor is after the Original Air Jordan 2 model the mold was either destroyed or was stolen. So when the Air Jordan II re-released in 1994-95, Nike had to dissect the Original pair, and when Jordan Brand re-released the AJ 2 once again in 2004, they had to dissect a pair of the 1994-95 retros. On the AJ II their was not a black color way produced, even though sketches and prototypes were put together. One of the most sought out pair of shoes is the Air Jordan II K.O. Very little are in existence, and also very few pictures are floating around.
In 1995 the Air Jordan 2 was re-released in the high top version, as well as the lows. They had a price tag of $105.00 (same as the originals), but just like the Air Jordan I they did not sell well, hitting sales racks for $20. In 2004 the AJ 2 once again made an appearance, with a price tag of $110.00. Also in 2004-2005 the AJ II lows were released, retailing at $100.00.
Indeed a rare Air Jordan 2 (II) OG to find, but who would know the Air Jordan Original 2 (II) White / Red would make the impact it has today. We do know one thing, the Nike Air Jordan line back in 1986 wanted to make a great second impression.
The Air Jordan OG 2 (II) White / Red was made in Italy, and contain a smooth Italian genuine leather. Sadly, the midsole was made of a rubber that cracks and crumbles easily, so finding a Air Jordan 2 (II) Original White / Red in pristine condition is more of a choir.

As the legacy continues, Nike released a few Air Jordan Original 2 (II) Low, but this pair is by far the rarest, being the Air Jordan OG 2 (II) Low White / Red. Constructed of fine Italian Leather, its roots was established in Italy, and releasing to the public in 1987.
Since the Air Jordan Original 2 (II) Low White / Red first released, that has been the only time. Reproductions close to the OG model have dropped, but they contain small black accents or piping. To find a pair in deadstock condition will not be a easy obstacle.

The Air Jordan 2 made its first debut in 1986, (which was the white/red colorway) and the other three color ways released in 1987. Designer of this model is Bruce Kilgore and Peter Moore, (both were dismissed from making any more AJ models after the II). In 1986-87 the Air Jordan II retailed at $105.00.
